Swimming Lessons!

This week Luke and Olivia had swimming lessons.  Olivia's first time ever and Luke's 1st time without his bubble on his back.  Both enjoyed it but we saw so much fear in Luke.  I know it's normal for kids to be scared but Luke was terrified of jumping in. This has shown me how much I need to be praying for him to grow in courage. He really doesn't like to take chances or risks.  I don't want him to miss out on things in life because of timidity!

I need to be more conscious of getting myself in pictures or  my kids will never know I was around during their childhood!

Olivia was her true self, quite the character. The first day she kept asking (loudly of course) , "Am I doing good??"  When her teacher said they were going to sing a song, she said "I know a song that I sing to my baby!" And proceeded to sing all of "Jesus Loves Me" for the whole class. And she means her baby doll ,by the way.  Here she is posing for the camera when she was supposed to be practicing! 

Sweet Maggie did really well this week as we had lots of things going on.  She had a lot of naps in this carseat. 

Look at this hair.  Here it is untamed. It can get much bigger than this!  The TN humidity makes it so curly!

Wear your goggles and swimming shoes and shoot each other with water guns, of course! 

Maggie is 1 month!

Maggie is already 1 month old!  At her checkup this week, she weighed 9lbs 10 oz and 22 inches long!!  I was hoping for her to be 9lbs but I had no idea she was that big.  That means she gained 1 lb and 1 inch since her 2 week appointment!  No more worrying if she's getting enough to eat - we are sure of that now! She's in the 90th percentile for height , which is funny considering what her parents look like. But that might just even out over time.  Anyway she is very healthy and just in the last few days has really woken up.  She's very alert now and wants to move her legs and arms all the time.  We just might have another active on on our hands.  She smiled this morning for the 1st time but I've yet to capture it with the camera.
