Recent happenings around our house

This is the view I get pretty much all day! Luke finally decided to crawl and now he's everywhere! It's really fun to see him go where he wants to but it does make life a LOT different having a mobile baby!
"GET ME OUT OF HERE!"
A lot of the local kids have these stroller type bicycles. There's a handle so we can push him but also there are pedals for the child to use when they are tall enough. Our neighbor let Luke sit on hers one day and his face just LIT up! Also there are buttons that you can push and they make all sorts of noise. Of course when Luke's daddy saw his face light up like that he said Luke has to have one! (Might I say that before Forrest was the most frugal guy in the world!) Crawling into the kitchen to watch the washing machine is also one of Luke's favorite past times. Something about it spinning round and round is so facsincating to him. But also standing up and pushing the off button is pretty fun too....but not for Mom!

Happy 4th of July!

Luke and I spent the 4th with some of American friends and their families. We went to the river and had a nice picnic...except that this was the day that Luke got sick! This is the first time he has ever gotten sick - of course when Forrest is gone! The past few days have not been fun but I think now he's getting better. So pitiful to see my little guy feeling so crummy. Needless to say we are so ready for Forrest to come home on Tuesday.

This is our friends' little boy Isaiah - I love this picture! His cheeks are so cute - but he definitely didn't like it when I squeezed them!

I had a hard time getting a good picture of Luke! He kept making funny faces or looking the other way. I think he's getting tired of that camera flashing in his eyes all the time!
